Résumé
In this chapter, I will discuss my understanding of shame and race having been born, and having lived and worked in racialised societies. I decided to write from my personal and professional experiences of seeing people who expressed their feelings of being made to feel ashamed and what actions they took to be relieved of these feelings. On refection, during this year of the enforced "lock down" caused by the pandemic of COVID-19, I have had more time to observe people whilst standing at the stipulated distance of two metres.
